“We decided about 2 years ago our family was ready for a dog, but with parents who work full time, travel for work, and a tween we knew it had to be the right fit. We’d met 3 other dogs but none of them were quite right. I was sitting at my hotel, eating breakfast and reading the paper, and came across an article about How I Met My Dog, and thought why not? I finished my profile and my breakfast and went on my way. Later in the day I checked my matches and Skylar popped up, she wasn’t the dog I thought we’d pick but I saw her, read her bio and immediately emailed the rescue. I spoke with Lizzie from Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue that night while I was at the airport and in about 2 weeks Skylar was on her way home with us from Maryland to PA. I would have never found her without HIMMD, and I can tell you that she completes our family. We all love her so much and are enjoying having another little life in our house!” - Danielle
